Meet Mahendra Singh, a dedicated farmer and changemaker from Amoda village in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. In partnership with Access Agriculture, Mahender uses a smart projector to screen educational videos, empowering both men and women in his community to adopt profitable organic farming practices.

In this interview, Mahendra shares how these video screenings are changing mindsets. By learning to prepare organic inputs like Ghan Jeevamrit, Neemastra, and Brahmastra at home, local farmers are drastically reducing their reliance on expensive chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Mahender also runs his own bio-resource center, selling organic composts to farmers who need them. He candidly discusses the initial challenges of gathering farmers without government subsidies and shares his creative solution: offering small, free sample bottles of organic pesticides to build trust and prove the effectiveness of the products.

Beyond crops, Mahendra has recently undergone training in indigenous veterinary treatments (Desi Upchar). He now plans to help farmers treat their livestock with cost-effective, traditional methods, saving animals' lives and reducing medical expenses while earning a modest supplementary income.

A special thanks to Access Agriculture for providing the digital tools that make this grassroots transformation possible.
