"If you ask me if I have benefited from natural farming, I will say that the yield will be a little lower. But the product comes in good quality. It's perfectly natural." - Rajani Swargiyaroi Meet Rajani Swargiyaroi, a dedicated farmer from Digheli village in the Baksa district of Assam, India. 

Rajani has been involved in agriculture since childhood, but over the last two and a half years, her partnership with Grameen Vikas Mancha (GVM) has deepened her understanding of sustainable practices through extensive training in natural farming.

By watching agricultural training videos and attending GVM sessions, Rajani has learned how to enhance her traditional methods and eliminate the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Key Impacts & Success Stories:

• Mastering Bio-Pesticides & Fertilizers: Rajani has received comprehensive training on creating and applying natural solutions like Jeevamrit, Agneyastra, Brahmastra, and Nimastra. She also successfully makes her own vermicompost at home in bags, allowing her to naturally enrich her soil.

• Healthier, High-Quality Crops: While Rajani notes that natural farming might yield a slightly lower quantity, the quality of her vegetables is exceptionally high. Her natural pest control methods have significantly reduced crop diseases and insect infestations.

• Advanced Farming Systems: Beyond fertilizers, she has adopted integrated crop systems, bed systems, and mulching to maximize her land's potential and retain soil moisture. Future Goals: Rajani continues to grow all her household vegetables naturally and cultivates mustard on a commercial scale.
