Meet Balappa, a traditional farmer from Machanur village in Yadgir district, Karnataka, India. Coming from a family that relied solely on yearly agricultural income, Balappa realized the need for a daily income source to manage his family's everyday expenses.

His journey took a new turn when his friend Rafi introduced him to the Access Agriculture app. By watching educational videos during his free time, Balappa was inspired to start a small poultry farm with 20 chickens. Now, he successfully sells eggs to support his daily needs while waiting for his annual crop returns! He also shares his exciting future plans to expand his poultry business and venture into goat farming using his cotton crop earnings.

Quoting a beautiful Kannada proverb, "Munde guri irabeku, hinde guru irabeku" (Have a goal ahead and a guide behind), Balappa expresses his heartfelt gratitude to GIZ and Access Agriculture for being his guiding light.
