Matooke, is a popular East Africa Highland or cooking banana and an important food and income crop in East and Central Africa. IITA and its national partner, NARO. have been leading efforts to develop matooke hybrid varieties which are higher yielding and resistant to major pests and diseases. This documentary gives an overview of this work in Uganda.
