Livestock feed is a big challenge to farmers, especially during the dry season. At this time, grasses are degraded and are of poor quality as its nutritional value declines. What options do farmers have? The sweet potato is drought tolerant and could provide the much needed herbage to supplement conserved fodder such as hay.
