This video was made by a farmer group in Ilakala village, Morogoro region, Tanzania. Using Participatory Video techniques, the group was facilitated to create their own video about their Pyrolizer, in which they pyrolize maize cobs and other crop residues in order to produce charcoal for home consumption and for sale. The group formed through participation in the Trans-SEC project (www.trans-sec.org). The participatory video-making workshops were part of a reflection, feedback and sharing process facilitated by the German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture (www.ditsl.org).
