It is a life changing low cost small is beautiful technology to help landless communites affected by flooding and massive river bank erosion in NW Bangladesh. The innovation started with the objective something is better than nothing. After a decade action research, it has proved the innovation is hope for millions. Currently 16,000 landless extreme poor households have been trained and got access to over 9000 ha of transitional sandbar since 2005 to date. The innovation has created income and livelihood opportunity for over 80,000 people on the ground. It is now a measn of living for them and generating at least 240,000 meals A DAY....
