MAKING HOME MADE INCUBATOR

INTRODUCTION

An incubator is a device simulating avian incubation by keeping eggs warm at a particular temperature range and in the correct humidity with turning mechanism to hatch them.

MATERIALS.

Sawdust

box

bulb

bowl of water

eggs

power source

marker pen

PROCEDURE.

a) Make a hole at one end of the box and fix a bulb on it

b)place sawdust at the bottom of the box

c)place a bowl of water below the bulb

d)mark the eggs to guide you when turning the eggs

e)switch on the light and cover the box

CONCLUSION

A home made incubator is economical to farmers as compared to artificial and natural brooding method since it uses locally available materials such as box,sawdust etc.
